Short guided tours and ‘Stocherkahn’ boat rides (in English)

On three evenings during the congress, we will offer short guided evening tours through the medieval old town of Tuebingen, as well as rides on a Tuebingen ‘Stocherkahn’, a traditional wooden longboat that contributes to the city’s famous riverside scenery. Please find detailed information below. Bookings of both tours will be part of the Congress registration procedure, opening in January 2011.

  1. Guided tour through Tuebingen old town
During this approx. 100 minute guided tour you will learn interesting and entertaining facts about Tuebingen's past and present, about important buildings and famous writers, poets, or scientists.
