Taking a boat trip in a famous "Stocherkahn" – the boat exclusive to Tuebingen navigated by a long wooden pole – offers a scenic view of the picturesque Neckar waterfront with the famous Hoelderlin Tower.

EvE The Evolution and Ecology Forum Tuebingen

The Evolution and Ecology Forum is a meeting platform for scientists working in the broad field of evolution and ecology in Tuebingen. We organise joint research and teaching, scientific meetings and public events.

Tuebingen offers strengths in evolution and ecology at a broad range of scales in time (fossil, recent), space (laboratory, local, regional and global) and organisational level (genes, individuals, populations, communities). We combine groups from several university faculties (Biology, Geology and Palaeontology, Archaeology and Cultural Sciences, Medicine, Informatics) and the Max-Planck-Institute of Developmental Biology.
